Burn calories while saving the planet
Today was a good day, because I literally burned calories while helping to save the environment! For my birthday (which was April 10th), my wonderful boyfriend got me a mountain bike! And with the current state of our environment (not to mention the price of gas) I decided that at least once a week, I am going to ride my bike to work. For me, it's 6 miles to work. It took me 45 minutes, which is basically double what it takes me to drive. Yeah, I was a little sweaty when I got there, but I brought a change of clothes. The best part though, is that you also have to ride home...even if you're not in the mood. So today, I biked for 12 miles, burned a ton of calories, got in my daily workout going to and from work and saved gas money while helping to improve the environment. If we all rode our bikes to work, or walked, or ran, or roller bladed, or took the bus one time per week, we could really make a difference!

A little inspiration
"A goal without a plan is just a wish." -- Larry Elder
What is your goal? Is it losing weight? Being able to run a 10K? Fitting into an old pair of jeans? Lowering your cholesterol?
If you've been unsuccessful in the past at reaching your fitness goals, chances are you didn't lay out a plan for yourself. How are you going to lose weight? How are you going to get ready to run a 10K?
If you plan to lose weight, then be specific about how you're going to do this. What are you going to do each day to ensure that you stay track to reaching your goal?
So make a plan today! The sooner you make that plan, the sooner you reach that goal!

Red Carpet Ready
I thought I'd share a little bit about a project that I worked on earlier this year. It's called "Red Carpet Ready," and it's an eBook written by Valerie Waters who is a celebrity personal trainer. Valerie is the trainer behind the bodies of Jennifer Garner, Rachel Nichols, Kim Raver and Elizabeth Berkley, just to name a few.
Red Carpet Ready
Well if you've admired any of these bodies, then you are in luck. Valerie recently released Red Carpet Ready, a six week program that will whip you into shape faster than you ever thought was possible. And I'm not just saying that. When Valerie was writing the program, I was sort of her test subject...and oh my god, it was really unbelievable. In six weeks I went down 2 jean sizes and saw a major change in my body. The program gives you 4 workouts, 2 for the first 3 weeks, and 2 for the second 3 weeks. And of course, it's not just about the workout. Valerie also lays out a complete nutrition plan along with ways to get and stay motivated. If you follow the plan exactly, which is easy because it's all there laid out for you...you really will see amazing results. It's not a starve yourself program either. Of course it takes commitment to the workout and diet...and yes, you may be hungry sometimes but if it were easy we'd all look like Jen Garner. I really recommend this product, simply because it works. Here's the link if you want more informaton:
